NSK Nakanishi Foundation Establishes the International Academic Award “NSK Blue Prize” and Opens Nominations for the Inaugural Award

The NSK Nakanishi Foundation (Head Office: Kanuma, Tochigi, Japan; Representative Director: Eiichi Nakanishi) is pleased to announce the establishment of the NSK Blue Prize, an international academic award that recognizes researchers whose achievements have made a significant global impact on the advancement of dental science and oral healthcare. Nominations for the inaugural award will open on July 1, 2026.

 

The NSK Blue Prize aims to demonstrate the value and importance of dental science to the world and to grow into a prestigious international award that will one day be recognized as the "Nobel Prize of Dentistry." The nomination period will remain open until December 20, 2026. Up to three laureates will be selected, with each recipient receiving a cash prize of JPY 10 million, together with a medal and certificate of recognition.

 

The award honors individuals or organizations that have demonstrated outstanding achievements across a broad range of fields, including pioneering clinical practice, scientific research, education, and contributions to community oral healthcare. By recognizing innovative initiatives that are shaping the future of dentistry and sharing these achievements with the global community, the Foundation seeks to further advance dental science and oral healthcare worldwide.
