Nomination Guidelines

Nomination Period July 1 – December 20, 2026(must arrive by JST)

  • Nomination Procedure

    (1) Complete the designated nomination form and submit it by email to the Foundation as a PDF file.
    (2) Please download the nomination form from the PDF below.

    * Nomination data submitted will be handled appropriately by the Foundation.

    ■Notes

    The nominator must be the representative of an academic society or the head of the nominee’s affiliated institution. The nomination form must bear the official seal of the academic society or affiliated institution.

    * ‶Head of institution" refers to a university president, dean, graduate school dean, hospital director, research institute director, department chair, program head, or equivalent.

  • Selection

    Based on submitted nomination documents, the Foundation's Selection Committee will review candidates and determine the recipients. During the selection process, additional materials or interviews may be requested as necessary. Please note that inquiries regarding the progress or details of selection cannot be answered. Selection results will be notified to recipients and nominators in March 2027 and announced on the Foundation’s website.

  • Other

    Award results are subject to public disclosure by the Foundation. Personal information in the nomination form will be used only within the scope of this award program. However, for recipients, names, affiliations, titles, research content, activity records, photographs, and related information will be publicly disclosed. If false statements are found in submitted documents, or if conduct inappropriate for a recipient is recognized, the award may be revoked and return of the certificate, plaque, and prize money may be requested.
